Unfortunately, Administrative Monetary Penalty System (AMPS), a new bylaw administrative process system recently proposed to council, would have little to no effect on the substandard buildings and yards in the Renaissance district that contravene basic property standards.
We need a detailed action plan from the bylaw office in order to address, effectively and quickly, the hundreds of substandard properties in the Renaissance district. Enforcement of standards has been MIA for a very long time.
City officials received a property standards report from our association in May that portrayed the dire condition of multiple properties in the district.

Absent depuis l’arrivée de la COVID-19, le train passager de la ligne Océan de VIA Rail reprendra du service à compter d’août.
L’Océan reprendra graduellement du service à compter avec un aller-retour par semaine Montréal-Halifax. Le premier aller se fera le 11 août alors que le retour, lui, aura lieu quatre jours plus tard, le 15.
