Kayamandi-based tutoring academy achieves 100% pass rate

Cape Town - A Kayamandi-based tutoring and mentorship program is celebrating achieving a resounding 100% matric pass rate in its first year of running.
Founded by two Kayamandi youngsters, the Inkwenkezi Tutoring and Mentorship Programme has racked in praise for its efforts in supporting and tutoring 20 Kayamandi Grade 12 learners throughout the stressful 2020 academic year, resulting in the learners passing with distinctions.
Programme co-founder and UCT final-year student Luxolo Copiso said he was extremely proud of the matriculants who worked hard and achieved amazing results despite the Covid-19 challenges hanging over their heads.

Liquid Icons, founded by the late, great Gerard Basset OBE MW MS and Lewis Chester DipWSET, has announced the launch of The Golden Vines Awards, which will raise funds for, and promote, diversity and inclusion in the industry.
The diversity scholarships are being funded in hopes of making a difference to the world by enabling black and ethnic minority students to study for the prestigious qualification.
The Golden Vines Awards event, which is not-for-profit, will recognise the “star performers of the fine wine industry”, according to a press release. The rapid pace of scientific discovery in care for people living with HIV and AIDS requires clinicians, HIV service providers and other key stakeholders to remain continually up to date on research developments and best practices. In 2016, IAS – the International AIDS Society – launched the IAS
Educational Fund.

Organizing IAS Educational Fund meetings around the world to provide access to the latest science at the regional level
Close to 50 Jamaican entrepreneurs are set to learn the rigours of the requirements to get a foothold in the overseas market, through the newly formed Mentorship Programme of Export Max III.
Export Max is dedicated to improving the competitiveness of Jamaican companies and boosting their export earnings. Export Max III is managed by the Jamaica Business Development Corporation (JBDC), Jamaica Promotions Corporation (Jampro) and the Jamaica Manufacturers and Exporters Association.
The mentorship programme, which was launched on Thursday, and is being led by the JMEA, seeks to expand the knowledge capacity of the participants, empowering them with the requisite information and know-how needed to navigate the market space and achieve further export success.
