Health dept. releases this week’s list of vaccine providers
The Louisiana Department of Health released Monday a list of 541 providers that will get shares of the state’s supply of COVID-19 vaccine doses this week.
LDH also has posted a list of community vaccination events being held around the state. All state residents who are at least 16 years old are eligible to be vaccinated, and appointments generally are required.
Providers are listed at LDH’s website. Residents also can call 211 to find a vaccine provider or event near them.
Three types of approved vaccines are available. The Pfizer and Moderna vaccines require two doses to get the full benefit, and the Johnson & Johnson vaccine requires a single dose.
