“Like I said before, I see that as a personal failure that I didn t [secure UEFA Women’s Champions League qualification],” Stoney said.
Stoney continued: “The players need good resources, they need backing and I know the club is going to do that. I believe this team has a bright future. I know the summer window will be exciting, because I ve done all the work. It s a massively exciting time. I will be their biggest supporter moving forward.

In protest against a deportation raid that took place during Eid al-Fitr, local surrounded an immigration enforcement van, and were successful in halting the deportation of two men, as the authorities were left with no option but to release them in order to disperse the crowd.

Birmingham City Women’s head coach Carla Ward resigns
By The Athletic Staff
Birmingham City Women head coach Carla Ward has resigned from her role at the club.
The 37-year-old took charge of the club in August and will step down at the end of the season. That means she will remain in the dugout for this Sunday’s Women’s FA Cup fifth-round tie against Southampton at the SportNation.bet Stadium.
The Women’s Super League (WSL) concluded last Sunday, with Birmingham finishing 11th.
Ward’s imminent departure means four of the 12 WSL clubs are now in search of a new manager.
