Microsoft Highlights the 2021 Xbox Console Exclusives
While the notion of Xbox exclusives still roils some videogame fans for some reason, I don’t think Microsoft has ever cataloged them in advance before. But they have now: This week, Microsoft provided a lengthy list of games that will release exclusively to the new Xbox consoles this year.
“It’s always about the games,” Microsoft’s Will Tuttle writes. “In 2021, creators around the world will tap deeper into the power of Xbox Series X|S and bring a massive variety of content to Xbox players. We anticipate this to be the most exciting generation yet for developers and players alike, with something for every kind of gamer. While we have so much more in store, both from our talented partners and our creative teams at Microsoft, we figured that now would be the perfect time to take a closer look at the announced games that are launching as console exclusives on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One X|S.”

Outrun-like arcade racer. So far, the game has only been released on the eShop, like much of the genre’s Switch titles. However, a physical edition of
Hotshot Racing is coming from Curve Digital, at least in the U.S.
Preorders are live at Amazon and Best Buy in the region, where the scheduled release date is Feb. 19. Preorder prices are set at $30, and it looks like there aren’t any notable bonuses with the standard edition. The cartridge does comes with the recently released Big Boss Bundle content included, but that was a free add-on for digital players anyway.

Human: Fall Flat has officially sold over two million copies in China alone.
No Brakes Games released its platform-puzzler on mobile in China just six days ago, with the help of XD Inc to bring it to the country, as well as its publishing partners Curve Digital and 505 Games.
The game sold 100,000 units in the first 30 minutes of launch in Chinese Android storefront TapTap, and is also available on the iOS App Store.
Nearly two years ago, designer Tomas Sakalauskas spoke to GamesIndustry.biz upon the announcement that the game had sold two million units total, saying that the number would ensure he never had to work in IT again.
