And they’ve done so in the middle of a pandemic, while overcoming some daunting personal challenges along the way. Cardigan Bay Properties is the brainchild of Helen Worrall (47), from Glynarthen, and Tania Dutnell (43), from Betws Ifan, who both grew up in the area and felt there was a need for an estate agent with its roots in the local community and an in-depth understanding of the local property market. As well as keeping it local, Helen and Tania will be using all the latest online tools and technology you get from big national chains.

Jami, his wife, Alisa Bay, and their twin sons, Joshua and Nathan, have lived in Highland Park since 2000, but Jami has been part of the Highland Park business community for more than 35 years as owner of Love s Yogurt at The Shops on Elm Place. From the moment his boys were born, Jami began making plans to move to Highland Park, knowing that the vibrant city where he worked would be the first choice where he and his family should reside.

(McClure Images) Expanding its footprint into river country, a homegrown residential real estate brokerage has picked up a local peer in a deal that adds its fourth office in as many years. Shaheen, Ruth, Martin & Fonville Real Estate has purchased Select Properties of Virginia, a 21-agent brokerage led by Doug Dorsey with offices in Richmond and the Northern Neck. The deal, which includes Select’s office in Irvington, closed Wednesday. SRMF’s Scott Shaheen said terms are confidential.
