Helen Clark is among the list of speakers to talk at Craggy Range s annual speaker series about where Hawke s Bay fits within the global sphere.
The End of Globalisation.The Pandemic That Split the World tomorrow is the Havelock North winery s 9th annual speaker series and a sell out of 300 people are expected to attend.
Craggy Range general manager Aaron Drummond said the series aimed to bring interesting thoughts and ideas to the region.

Indie Deco, DIY Deco, Prohibition Weekend - whatever you want to call it, the unofficial party in Napier is still on for masses of festival fans.
The Art Deco Festival - and its near 300 events - will stay officially cancelled, but the trust that runs it is now throwing its support behind a raft of unofficial events that can go ahead under alert level 1 rules.

Another cash lifeline is being rolled out to
the regions after the approval of funding towards a wide
range of events and activities to stimulate domestic
tourism.
Contracts have now been signed with all nine
regional tourism groupings to enable the $50 million
Regional Events Fund to be distributed around the
country.
“Event organisers and tourism operators
from Northland to Southland will benefit from the events
outlined in the plans from their regional organisations,”
said Tourism Minister Stuart Nash.

accommodation, hospitality and wider tourism and retail

There was an almost palpable sense joy and relief for many South Africans on Monday night when
President Cyril Ramaphosa announcedthe lifting of a number of lockdown restrictions, including the highly contentious beach ban.
Citing a drop in Covid-19 infections along with reduced admissions to hospitals, the President reopened beaches and parks, permitted the sale of alcohol (during certain specified hours), and relaxed curfew times.
