A gold 2008 Buick that was left with the engine running in the 1600 block of Sherman Avenue at about 9:45 p.m. yesterday was reported stolen.
2300 Howard
Two computers were reported stolen Friday from the Best Buy electronics store in the 2300 block of Howard Street. Miguel A. Martinez, 23, of 5030 W. Montrose Ave., Chicago, was arrested at the store at 1:06 p.m. Friday and charged with retail theft.

In February of 2020, before the pandemic became our everyday reality, the biggest thing happening in town was the grand opening of the Worcester Public Market in Kelley Square. Naturally, I attended the grand opening, and evidently, so did everybody else, because there was not a parking space to be found. I drove around the Canal District in circles for about half an hour before, ironically, finding a spot in the lot behind the market itself. So, sometimes you get lucky. Other times, you don t. I have had trouble parking on numerous occasions in that neighborhood, just going to a poetry reading at Nick s Bar and Restaurant or picking up takeout at Bay State Shawarma. MADISON â The Madison-Morgan Cultural Center is preparing for its 20th Annual Madison Antiques Show & Sale where event-goers will be able to experience the best in early American antiques and accessories. The event takes place May 20-22, at the Madison-Morgan Cultural Centerâs Hall on Foster Street. Along with the Antiques Show & Sale, the three-day event includes a Preview Party and free lectures by experts in Georgia treasures and historic architecture. The Antiques Show is dependent on the generous support of Host Committee Members and Sponsors. This yearâs sponsors are Mannington Mills Inc. and Rosie and Don Becker.
The Preview Party kicks off the Antiques Show and Sale from 6 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, May 20. Tickets to the Preview Party are $50 per person and include a reception (safe and socially distanced drinks and hors d’oeuvres), a first opportunity to buy this year’s antiques, and an opportunity to mingle with expert dealers.
