Former Gujarat DGP Shabir Hussein Shekhadam Khandwawala has taken over from Ajit Singh as the head of the BCCI s Anti-Corruption Unit. Singh, a former DGP of Rajasthan, had joined in April 2018 and his term ended on March 31. He confirmed to PTI that he will be around for sometime to help his successor settle into the role. Khandwawala, a 1973 batch IPS officer, has been appointed ahead of the IPL beginning April 9. It is a matter of a great honour that I am part of the BCCI which is the best run cricketing body in the world. Besides my expertise on security matters, what should help me in this role is my love for the game, Khandwawala, who is 70, told PTI.
Realty major Macrotech Developers, erstwhile Lodha Developers, on Monday said it will reduce net debt by 24 per cent to Rs 12,700 crore post its initial public offer (IPO), which hits the capital market on Wednesday. Mumbai-based Macrotech Developers has sold properties worth Rs 50,000 crore in the last seven years (FY14 to FY20), making it the largest developer in terms of annual sales bookings, its Managing Director Abhishek Lodha told reporters in a virtual press conference. The company will launch its IPO on April 7 to raise Rs 2,500 crore through a fresh issue of shares. The issue will close on April 9. The price band is Rs 483-486 per share.
The BCCI remains hopeful of conducting the scheduled IPL matches in Mumbai from April 10-25 despite a massive surge in Covid-19 cases in the city and 10 members of the Wankhede Stadium staff testing positive for the deadly virus. With just seven days to go for the clash with Chennai Super Kings, Delhi Capitals too has suffered a blow after left-arm spinner Axar Patel tested positive for the virus, news agency ANI reported. Unfortunately, Axar has tested positive. he is in isolation and following all the protocols, a source close to the development was quoted as saying. Indore and Hyderabad have been kept as stand by venues for the IPL in case the Covid situation spirals out of control. Mumbai is scheduled to host 10 games of the cash-rich league.
Tata Consumer Products announced that the overseas step-down subsidiaries of TCPL in the USA have entered into an arrangement for the sale of its entire membership interest held in Empirical Group LLC (Empirical) and in Southern Tea, LLC (Southern Tea) to its Joint Venture Partner - Harris Tea Company LLC on 31 March 2021.
Empirical is engaged in the sale of tea and coffee for food services and contract customers and Southern Tea is a manufacturing entity managed by Harris Tea Company LLC, JV partner.
This move is in line with TCPL s focus on its core branded businesses in International markets.
It will help further simplify and streamline the Company s operations to enhance business effectiveness and profitability. Following this transaction, Southern Tea will continue to manufacture for Tetley and Good Earth brands.

NTPC informed that consequent upon successful commissioning and due approvals, first part capacity of 70 MW of 85 MW Bilhaur Solar PV Project at Bilhaur, Uttar Pradesh, is declared on Commercial Operation with effect from 28 March 2021. With this, the commissioned as well as commercial capacity of NTPC and NTPC group has become 51725 MW and 64490 MW respectively.
Hindustan Aeronautics recorded a revenue in excess of Rs. 22,700 crores (provisional and unaudited) for the financial year ended on March 31, 2021. The corresponding figure for the previous year stood at Rs. 21,438 crores. The company has posted a revenue growth of around 6% in FY 2020-21.
