Within 31 seconds of the opening tip-off Thursday night, Warriors guard Stephen Curry drained a 3-pointer over 7-foot-2 Bol Bol’s outstretched arm, nabbed a steal and raced full-court for a layup.
Anyone acquainted with Curry’s greatness could sense that he was on his way to one of his signature scoring outbursts. The problem for Golden State was that basketball is a team sport and, with Curry’s supporting cast unable to provide worthy complements, the Warriors were left to stare down a 114-104 loss to the Nuggets at Ball Arena.
