Thu, 03/04/2021 - 10:58am sarahp FRANCES ANN (WISELL) SULLIVAN PANTON Frances Ann (Wisell) Sullivan, 78 of Panton, passed away peacefully at Helen Porter Health and Rehab in Middlebury, Vt., on Tuesday, Feb. 16, 2021. “Ann” was born on July 25, 1942, in Burlington, Vt., the daughter of Dr. George P. and Mrs. Frances M. (McAuliffe) Wisell. She attended schools in Vergennes, and was a proud member of the first graduating class at Vergennes Union High School (VUHS) in 1960, where she was voted most popular and most versatile. She also was named DAR Good Citizen. It is no surprise to anyone that these accolades so early in her life would truly define her legacy. She then went on to graduate from Trinity College in 1964 with a B.A. in Language Arts.

Thu, 02/11/2021 - 11:08am sarahp RUTH ALICE (COREY) JERGER FERRISBURGH Ruth Alice (Corey) Jerger, “Mom,” “Ruthie,” “Grammy Ru,” passed away Tuesday evening, Feb. 2, 2021, at the McClure Miller Respite House in Colchester after bravely and fearlessly battling ovarian cancer for several months. Ruth was born June 11, 1935, in Fairfax, Vt., to Ethel (MacGowan) and Percy Corey. Ruth spent her childhood working on the family farm in Fairfield and attending school in the area. She graduated high school from Brigham Academy. After graduation Ruth worked for 13 years at New England Telephone and Telegraph in St. Albans at the switchboard. At the time it was the old-time switchboard with the holes and wires.
