A woman appeared in court on Thursday, March 11, charged with the killing of Ms Mason. Jessica Crane, of Hillside Close, Worcester, appeared before a deputy district judge in Kidderminster for a preliminary hearing. She is charged with murdering 69-year-old Ms Mason, at an address in Green Lane, off Rainbow Hill on Tuesday. Flowers were laid outside of the property on Thursday. There had been a police presence outside the house in Green Lane since the incident on Tuesday, but officers had left the scene on Thursday and the police cordon outside had also been removed. David, a neighbour who lives in Green Lane, said: “It is quite shocking. I didn’t know the woman who died, I’ve only been here a year or so and we didn’t notice anything going on until we opened the blinds and saw police and vans in the road.
A DANGEROUS and depraved paedophile babysitter has been jailed for 12 years for vile attacks on boys, one a child in nappies. Simon Clancy, branded a ‘monster’ by the family of his victims, carried out the indecent assaults on three boys in the early 1990s in Worcester. The bald and paunchy 45-year-old paedophile appeared over videolink from prison when he was sentenced at Worcester Crown Court on Thursday. At one stage during the abuse Clancy declared this is the best thing ever , assaulting one of the boys after his dummy fell out. The heartbroken mum of two of the victims, now adults, thanked Judge Nicholas Cole in open court for jailing Clancy and has spoken of her pride in the bravery of her sons in facing their sick abuser in court.
Ms Griffiths was killed in Droitwich between January 11 and 14, 2019. Also happening today is the sentence of predatory Worcester paedophile Simon Clancy who will appear before Judge Nicholas Cole who oversaw the trial. Two of the three abuse survivors in the trial spoke to the Worcester News, thanking the jury for believing them after convicting the predatory paedophile of nine out of 10 of the sexual offences committed against them in Worcester between January 1 and November 30,1992.

Richard Evans entered the witness box on Wednesday, telling a jury he ‘could not cope’ when he attacked Jane Webster in the bath at his home in Ronkswood Hill, Worcester. The 48-year-old said he told Mrs Webster to ‘get in the bath’ after a night out drinking in the Gun Tavern in Worcester on July 4 last year. Jennifer Josephs, prosecuting, described Evans as a ‘bully’ and a ‘controlling man’ when she cross-examined him.
