Longtime Longview resident Josh Mitchell has long dreamt of recreating a beloved 1950s-style diner from his childhood to remind other people of the value of slowing down to eat good food.
Mitchell, who has lived in Longview for the last decade, said he grew up in Arkansas with a ârough backgroundâ that never lent itself well to sentimental memories. But he cherishes the time spent in a small town diner in Hot Springs. Nothing seemed to cut through hardships quite like a homemade burger, fries and chocolate shake.
Jayâs Jukebox Burgers on Commerce Avenue â which opens this week in the old Lynnâs Ice Cream, Yogurt and More location â brings to life Mitchellâs dream.
NILES A Youngstown man was arraigned Thursday on multiple charges after police said he was involved in separate incidents in Warren and Weathersfield involving assaults of the same woman.
Crashawn Hudson, 24, of 328 Chicago Ave., faces charges of burglary, assault, escape, two counts of domestic violence, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct. Niles Municipal Judge Christopher Shaker set Hudson’s bond at $100,000 and scheduled a 9:15 a.m. Wednesday preliminary hearing.
Hudson, who was arrested early Thursday, remained in the Trumbull County jail as of Sunday evening.
Weathersfield officers called for assistance as they responded to a domestic incident shortly after 5 p.m. Wednesday in the 3800 block of Forest Ridge Court. According to a Trumbull County 911 report, a tall, slim man had kicked a 46-year-old woman and was outside “destroying stuff.” The report states a second woman may have been involved.
