Companies in Gaeltacht regions will be able to avail of the Trading Online Voucher Scheme.
The scheme is designed to assist small businesses with up to ten employees to trade online, boost sales and reach new markets.
Fianna Fáil councillor Breandan Fitzgerald previously asked what schemes are available if Údarás na Gaeltachta does not have funding to operate it.
The Trading Online Voucher Scheme offers financial assistance of up to €2,500 with co-funding from the business.
Kerry County Council previously said the scheme was under review, with the most recent modification being businesses are now required to co-fund 50% of the cost.
Today marks the beginning of Local Enterprise Week, which was launched by the Tánaiste, Leo Varadkar.
A number of initiatives will be taking place across the week including virtual FREE and low cost events such as training workshops, one to one mentoring, information webinars and masterclasses with experts. The week has information and supports for all small businesses whether planning, starting, sustaining or growing their business in 2021.
Common topics across the week include starting a new business, resilience and recovery, the green economy, becoming ‘leaner’, exploring new markets, doing business online and the new trading relationship with the UK. For the first time, Local Enterprise Week also includes 10 ‘Spotlight’ events. These are open to all business nationally.
