Development keeps rolling around town

Town of Fountain Hills Development Services Director John Wesley gave the Town Council an update on ongoing and proposed development projects at the annual council retreat on Feb. 23. The Fountain Hills Medical Center at Saguaro Blvd. and Trevino Drive is about to open its doors. According to Wesley, they are working on contractor punch list items as well as state inspections to obtain permits and a certificate of occupancy. Medical Center officials have not announced an opening date. Wesley said the facility will also be adding a sidewalk along the Saguaro Blvd. frontage to the property. In Adero Canyon there are three of eight platted parcels essentially complete. An additional parcel with 13 lots is nearing completion.

Snowpack Around Arizona Remains Below Normal For The Season

KAFF News Snowpack Around Arizona Remains Below Normal For The Season Even with recent snowfalls in Northern Arizona, snowpack levels are still well below normal. According the U.S. Department of Agriculture, as of February 15th, snow water equivalent levels in the state’s major river basins range from 78 percent of median in the Verde River Basin to 29-percent of median in the Salt River Basin. The San Francisco Peaks is currently seeing 72-percent of normal snowpack, with a statewide average of 55-percent. The mid-month forecast calls for well below normal runoff in all basins for the spring runoff period. If Northern Arizona’s snowpack doesn’t improve, it could mean we see an active fire season.
