Lady Boss: The Jackie Collins Story will be distributed by Modern Films, the production company announced on Monday (May 17).
Modern acquired the documentary, which is directed by Laura Fairrie and produced by John Battsek. The film follows the life and work of Collins (pictured), a prolific author who sold more than 500 million copies of her work, and who became a feminist icon in the 1980s. The British-American millionaire actress had a turbulent life and success story that often inspired her hit novels.
The film was also produced by Passion Pictures, AGC Studios, CNN Films and BBC Arts.
