Fiddler Mike Barnett Enlists Sarah Jarosz for Reflective “Hollow City” (premiere)
The track holds a special place in Barnett’s heart. He tells PopMatters, “This song means a lot to me. It encapsulates my process of letting go of New York City, where my closest friends and music community were.”
For all of 2020’s general chaos and tumult, Mike Barnett suffered a brain aneurysm last summer on top of all of it. Thankfully, the prodigal fiddler has undergone two successful surgeries since and is regaining movement with the assistance of his wife, Annalise Ohse a classical violinist of equal prowess.
