Tax Free Association event in Hainan moves to June 3rd February, 2021 by Patrick Schmitt
Following consultation with its local partners and an assessment of the situation for regional and global travel, the Tax Free World Association (TFWA) has decided to move the dates of the TFWA Asia Pacific Hainan Special Edition to 21-24 June.
The decision was taken by the TFWA Board to allow maximum opportunity for delegates in Asia and beyond to participate in an event which, the association says, has generated considerable interest from brands, retailers and other industry stakeholders. In addition to an on-site event in Hainan – which is “the most dynamic market” in travel retail today – delegates will be able to take part from distance via streamed content and virtual TFWA One2One meetings.

The Tax Free World Association (TFWA) will now host its Asia Pacific Hainan Special Edition event in June.
The TFWA Asia Pacific event took place in Singapore in 2019
The TFWA Asia Pacific Hainan Special Edition had been scheduled to take place in May.
However, after consulting local partners and assessing the circumstances for regional and global travel, TFWA has decided to move the dates to 21-24 June 2021. It will be the first time the Asia Pacific show has taken place in Hainan, China.
The decision was made by the TFWA Board to allow maximum opportunity for delegates in Asia and abroad to take part in the event.

The Duty Free World Council (DFWC) 2021 â The Year of the Recovery webinar will take place on Wednesday 3 February from 14:00 to 15:30 CET.
A keynote presentation from ACI World will highlight latest air traffic data globally and regionally and will look ahead to the aviation industry recovery trajectory.
Content also includes updates from the Council, regional associations and the Tax Free World Association on efforts to garner support for the industry in these challenging times.
