(Wyoming News Now) -News In the Justice system, Jails and Prison facilities find keeping COVID cases under control in Wyoming’s department of Corrections comes with certain challenges. “We’re doing what we can to prevent it but in an Asymptomatic person it’s gonna transmit, so when it makes its way in a facility then it really spreads in the institution,” Wyoming Department of Corrections, Deputy Administrator, Transparency Division, Paul L. Martin said. As of January 12th of 2021 WDOC reports after weekly routine samplings, there’s a confirmed 5 positive cases in Wyoming’s facilities.

The Wyoming Department of Corrections said on Tuesday, Jan. 12 that routine surveillance sampling of inmates and correctional staff in Wyoming in the last week revealed five new positive cases of COVID-19.
