Wyoming Law To Give DAOs Company Status One Step Closer To Passing

Today, Wyoming lawmakers took that one step closer to put a new law in place. This law is of extreme importance to the crypto world’s DeFi space, as it would allow Decentralized Autonomous Organizations (DAOs) the ability to gain company status within the state.

Bill 38 saw its approval at the Wyoming Legislature’s Corporations, Elections, and Political Subdivisions Meeting. DAOs took a HUGE step forward today

The US state of Wyoming came one step nearer to making history on Tuesday when its Senate Committee members approved a bill that would allow decentralized autonomous organizations (DAOs) to incorporate in the state.
The DAO bill now goes to a vote in the Senate, and then the House. If all is well, it’s then signed into law.

The Wyoming Senate took up debate of Senate File 01 on Monday, March 8. The budget bill as proposed by the Joint Appropriations Committee would include total reductions to expenditures from the state’s General Fund of about $445 million from the 2021-2022 biennial appropriations.
