WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - Wabash Township Trustee Jennifer Teising abruptly cancelled her funding meeting with members of the fire department Tuesday evening.
As we previously reported, Trustee Teising made an announcement to the fire department that she intended to go forward with creating a fire district as the new funding source for the department. She said this would require the members of the volunteer fire department to get 6,000 signatures from property owners of the unincorporated area of Wabash Township.

That vote was unanimous, and they are calling for Teising s resignation. This after two months of uncertainty and unanswered questions from the leader of Wabash Township.

The Wabash Township Board finally met this evening with Trustee Jennifer Teising for its annual financial report. This meeting was supposed to happen on January 19th. However, Teising requested for it to be pushed back twice.

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. Whether Wabash Township Trustee Jennifer Teising lives in the township, as required by law, appears to be a question of what lives means.
Teising sold her house in West Lafayette in June, and changed her voter registration in July to 132 Knox Drive in West Lafayette.
“According to Indiana, that’s my residence,” Teising said Dec. 18, saying she updated her driver s license with the necessary documents to declare Knox Drive as her residence. “I sold my house. I moved. I’m now a renter.
