From Constance Wu to Olivia Liang, the Asian actresses who have been shaking up film and television

Asian actors have typically been underrepresented in the US film and television industry, but there is now a stream of young female trailblazers determined to turn this trend around.  Kung Fu, which premieres on The CW this Wednesday at 8/7c, not only features a predominantly Asian American cast, but it is one that s dominated by strong female figures.  Along with Olivia Liang playing Nicky - a college dropout who uses her martial arts skills and Shaolin values to protect her community - we ll see Shannon Dang as her tech-savvy sister, Kheng Hua Tan as her mother and Vanessa Kai in the role of her mentor.
