CHERRY GROVE TOWNSHIP Goodhue County farmer Keith Allen announced that he has filed for the District 3 seat on the Goodhue County Board of Commissioners.
Allen, who represents District 1 on the Minnesota Farm Bureau Board of Directors, serves as a Cherry Grove Township supervisor and the current vice president of Dale Lutheran Church. Additionally, he serves on the Operation Roundup committee for the Goodhue Co-Op Electric board.

KASSON About 80 or so meals a day leave Sunwood Manor in Kasson, all to keep seniors healthy and fed across Dodge County. The people we serve, they re in Kasson, Byron, Mantorville, Dodge Center, Claremont and West Concord, said Kelly Scott, who operates the Meals on Wheels program in Dodge County.
Before COVID-19 hit, the organization had about 65 to 75 clients, but that number is up, closer to 85 or 90 these days, she said. And with that increased need has been a need to find volunteers who will drive meals out to clients who can t get out to feed themselves.

The Goodhue County Sheriff s Office has received positive identification of the individual found in a burned-out vehicle in front of a rural Kenyon home on New Year s Eve.
Corey Lee Cassidy, 36 of Dodge Center was positively identified yesterday afternoon by the Southern Minnesota Regional Medical Examiner s Office.
The Goodhue County Sheriff s Office news release states, Our investigation indicates that accidental carbon monoxide asphyxiation may have been the result. During this investigation, there has never been any indication of foul play.
The Goodhue County Sheriff s Office says, The investigation indicates the fire started in the area of the vehicle and spread to the home but the cause of the fire is unknown.
