Irvine Announces Task Force to Reopen City
Irvine, California, is launching two COVID-19 and business reopening task forces to help safely guide reopening throughout 2021.
Mayor Farrah Khan announced the initiatives in a statement Dec. 15. The city is partnering with business leaders and health officials to coordinate the task forces, which will also provide a forum for the mayor to interact with the community.
“In order to ensure the best service to our community during these extraordinary times, I am creating the COVID-19 and business reopening task forces, which will allow city council to make the best informed decisions for the safety and well-being of all Irvine residents, businesses, and visitors,” Khan said in a press release.
