Shani Harvie Shani Harvie has been named into the newly created position of justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion coordinator (JEDI Coordinator) for the New Mexico Economic Development Department. Harvie will be responsible for connecting minority-owned businesses and community organizations in underserved communities with economic development programs, resources, and opportunities. Harvie, a graduate from UNM Anderson School of Management, has served as Secretary Alicia J. Keyes’ executive assistant since 2019 and most recently created and delivered a two-part online workshop, Miniseries for Business Owners of Color, with a focus on financing opportunities through small-scale alternative financial institutions and other business resources. Harvie also staffed the Governor’s Council for Racial Justice.
