16-18 Mill Street in Bradford city centre AN application to amend plans for a city centre flats development has been approved. Proposals to turn 16-18 Mill Street, opposite the Travelodge near Forster Square, into 27 one and two bed flats were approved by Bradford Council last year. This week applicant HM Properties was given permission to amend the plans for the building - to include office space in the lower ground floor of the development, space previously allocated as storage. This area of the building would not allow the creation of flats due to potential flood risk. Office use falls into a less vulnerable use than flats when it comes to determining flood risks.
Hickman has spent nearly two years as the city engineer.
âI thoroughly enjoyed my time with the city and working with everyone who was on the team,â said Hickman. âI was offered the position as general manager of the Ohio County Water District and will begin on Dec. 28.â
Hickman said the new job was an opportunity to be closer to home, stay within the same retirement system and be nearer to his family and children.
âI felt it was the best for my young family,â he said. âIt was a difficult decision because I was leaving a job and team that had no negatives.â
