The first of four world-class events starts this weekend with cross-country mountain biking and continues throughout the year with a cycling stage race, 1,000-mile bikepacking event and a cyclocross race.
OZ Trails US Pro Cup
Centennial Park at Millsap Mountain in Fayetteville hosts the OZ Trails US Pro Cup as part of the 2021 U.S. Cup Mountain Bike Series, over the next two weekends April 9-11 and April 16-18. Full of competitors hoping to make their way to the Olympic Games in Tokyo, the event features top men and women cross-country mountain bikers from throughout the globe.

SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio police are investigating after a 24-year-old man was shot in the parking lot of a West Side motel early Tuesday morning.
Officers were called around 1 a.m. to the Red Roof Inn in the 6800 block of Northwest Loop 410, not far from Culebra Road after receiving word of shots fired.
According to police, the man was walking in the parking lot when he was approached by a man he didn’t know. That’s when, police said, the suspect pulled out a gun and shot the man in the leg.

SAN ANTONIO – A man in his 30s is dead after he was shot during an argument at a Northwest Side motel early Wednesday morning, San Antonio police said.
Officers were called around 2:40 a.m. to the Home Suites motel in the 4900 block of North West Loop 410 after receiving word of shots fired.
According to police, a man and woman entered the motel room and met with two people shortly before the argument occurred.
Police said one of the men was in the restroom when an argument broke out and shots were fired.

SAN ANTONIO – A male driver is dead after he was ejected during a vehicle crash on the city’s Northwest Side early Wednesday morning, San Antonio police said.
The crash happened around 2:40 a.m. in the 3600 block of Northwest Loop 410, on the exit ramp to I-10.
According to police, the man was driving a black BMW sedan eastbound when, for an unknown reason, he lost control of his vehicle and drove straight into the metal guardrail. That’s when, police say, the vehicle spun 90 degrees clockwise and came to rest along the guardrail.

TYLER, Texas The juvenile suspect involved in a Tyler shooting was arrested Wednesday on two charges of aggravated assault and one charge of aggravated robbery.
According to the TPD, the shooting occurred on Feb. 22, just before 3 p.m. at 2202 West Northwest Loop 323 in Tyler. That address is listed as the Town Parc at Tyler apartment complex.
Police say they determined Christopher Lynch III, 17, of Tyler, and a juvenile were involved in a fight with several people. The TPD reports it was at this time, Dejuan Anthony Henley, 23, of Tyler, shot Lynch numerous times. Police say he also shot the juvenile in the leg.
