But one team has been already demonstrating the power of an all-female team. Hartley Wintney Fire Station had its first ever all-female crew on duty earlier this week. The North Hampshire emergency service workers carried out their shift together on Tuesday, March 2. A proud spokesperson for the station wrote: First ever all female crew. So proud of all they have achieved. The team had a busy day responding to incidents including a call-out on the Landrover to support their Tadley colleagues on Pamber Heath, leaving their vehicle in need of a good clean! The latest Home Office data shows there are now 2,231 full-time female firefighters, making up 6.4 per cent of the workforce.
