Hartley Wintney Fire Station celebrates first all-female crew

But one team has been already demonstrating the power of an all-female team. Hartley Wintney Fire Station had its first ever all-female crew on duty earlier this week. The North Hampshire emergency service workers carried out their shift together on Tuesday, March 2. A proud spokesperson for the station wrote: First ever all female crew. So proud of all they have achieved. The team had a busy day responding to incidents including a call-out on the Landrover to support their Tadley colleagues on Pamber Heath, leaving their vehicle in need of a good clean! The latest Home Office data shows there are now 2,231 full-time female firefighters, making up 6.4 per cent of the workforce.

North Hampshire beauty spots we can t wait to visit after lockdown

Away from the hustle and bustle of the big towns, there is mile upon mile of stunning Hampshire countryside to explore. But sadly, lockdown and the stay at home law has meant that people across the region have not been able to visit some of their favourite spots in recent months, save for those immediately on our doorstep when getting our daily exercise. Earlier this week, the Prime Minister s announcement on his roadmap to easing lockdown measures gave everyone a chance to imagine life being normal again.
