Portland police have identified the woman killed near Cathedral Park as Breauna White, 30, a TriMet driver. Our hearts go out to Bre and her family, TriMet said in a Thursday statement. She was a valued bus operator and will be missed by her co-workers and the entire TriMet team.
The four separate shootings began just after midnight and continued into the afternoon hours, authorities say. There is no indication the incidents are linked, PPB spokesman Greg Pashley told Pamplin Media.

Police say the first incident happened after midnight, around 12:52 a.m., in the Centennial neighborhood near the intersection of Southeast 162nd Avenue and Taylor Street. A person in a car was shot by someone in a different vehicle, which sped away before police arrived. The assailant squeezed off multiple shots.

PORTLAND, Ore. In less than 24 hours, police in the Portland metro area responded to four shootings, two of them deadly.
Around 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Gresham police officers responded Southeast 172nd and Burnside Street, where they found a man lying dead on the corner in the middle of the day.
“I m always seeing stuff going on in the neighborhood shootings, drive-bys it s constant,” said Beriane, who has lived in the neighborhood for 33 years. “It s been more gang violence, more shootings, vandalism, break-ins, car thefts. It s gotten a lot worse.

Police are investigating a homicide Wednesday in North Portland after a person was found shot dead in an apartment, officials said.
Officers responded to reports of gunshots near North Willamette Boulevard and North Charleston Avenue about 10:45 a.m., police said in a statement.
Investigators discovered the victim, whom police did not identified, dead in a nearby apartment, police said. They did not provide a description of any suspects and did not say if arrests had been made.

PORTLAND, Ore. Portland police officers responding to a report of shots fired found a 30-year-old woman dead inside a North Portland apartment Wednesday morning.
Police on Thursday identified the victim as Breauna White. A medical examiner determined she died of gunshot wounds.
White was a TriMet bus operator. The agency says she was not on duty at the time of the shooting. Our hearts go out to Bre and her family. She was a valued bus operator and will be missed by her co-workers and the entire TriMet team, spokesperson Roberta Altstadt said in a statement.
