North Bay police have announced they are supporting a local initiative to encourage open discussions on mental health, bullying, abusive relationships and at-risk substance use.
The North Bay Police Service, in support of the Enforcement Pillar of the Community Drug Strategy of North Bay and Area, is launching the #TimeToTalk initiative, which aims to remove the stigma around talking about these issues with a parent or guardian, teacher or police officer.

Few details are available following a heavy police presence outside the office of CUPE (Canadian Union of Public Employees) adjacent to Pizza Hut on Lakeshore Drive.
This afternoon, North Bay Police issued a public advisory to avoid the areas of Lee Ave, Lakeshore Ave, and MacDonald Ave E as part of an ongoing police investigation.

The North Bay Police Service has confirmed it will currently not perform random vehicle or individual stops as part of the enhanced enforcement measures put in place by the provincial government.
The police service released a statement on social media Saturday morning, saying the announcement of new provincial COVID-19 enforcement measures has generated many questions in the community.
