Road closure announced on North Third Street | News, Sports, Jobs

Apr 28, 2021 Effective immediately, until work is completed, Public Works crews have closed North Third Street between Ninth and 10th avenues north for concrete patching repairs. This road closure will be in effect through Thursday. The street will be closed to through traffic until work is completed. Detours will be posted. Please use alternate routes if possible. Traffic issues come before Toronto Council | News, Sports, Jobs

Staff writer TORONTO Several traffic-related issues were raised at last week’s Toronto Council meeting and a few will be discussed further by council’s safety committee at 5 p.m. today at City Hall. Council received a letter from resident Russ Kuntz, who said large trucks have veered into his yard at North Third Street and Cleveland Avenue and one came close to hitting his home because the street isn’t wide enough. Kuntz said many truck drivers are following their Global Positioning Systems and not the posted truck route, and he offered to distribute maps to them. Council President Frank McEwen and others said it’s a problem not only for trucks bound for Bulldog Rack but also Valley Converting.

Third St. The developer started initial site exploration work last month. Wednesday’s vote by city council to approve the $3.5 million agreement of sale opens a 90-day due diligence period once the sale ordinance takes effect over the next month.
