TALLAHASSEE, Fla. â Florida State Representative Anthony Sabatini, R-Lake County, announced Tuesday that during the current legislative session he will be sponsoring an amendment in the hopes of renaming U.S. Highway 27 as the âPresident Donald J. Trump Highway.â Looking forward to working on this important designation honoring one of the greatest Presidents in American History, Sabatini tweeted.
U.S. 27 is a 481-mile-long roadway that runs north and south from Miami up through to Tallahassee in the panhandle portion of the state.

TPD: Pedestrian seriously injured after crash on North Monroe

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) â The Tallahassee Police Department is currently investigating a traffic crash involving a pedestrian in the 2700 block of North Monroe Street.
The pedestrian has been taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
At this time southbound lanes on N. Monroe St. between Lakeshore Dr. and Calloway Road are closed.
Motorists are urged to avoid the area.
This is an on-going investigation. More information will be provided as it becomes available.
