Kirksville man admits to theft from an Adair Co. Sheriff s Office patrol vehicle

A Kirksville man wanted last week for burglary was taken into custody and given several charges.
Austin Penn, 21, was charged with one count of stealing $750 or more and first-degree damage to a motor vehicle with the intent to steal. Adair County Prosecuting Attorney Matt Wilson said other charges are also expected for Penn.
Court documents say Penn admitted to breaking into an Adair County Sheriff’s Office patrol car and stealing nearly $1,800 in equipment.
KPD put out an image on March 4 regarding a man who broke into a vehicle and stole items from it on March 3 on North Franklin Street. That suspect was wearing a black hoodie with something white on it. On March 5, a Glik’s employee saw a similar person in the store. The employee saw the man leave in a gold car that was missing a front bumper.

Police investigate man shot in neck, 3 suspicious deaths in Flint
Police in Flint are investigating a Wednesday morning shooting that left a man wounded, and three suspicious deaths of middle-aged men, whose bodies were found on consecutive days.
At about 5:40 a.m., at Dakota and Minnesota in Flint, police and medics responded to a 911 call about a man shot. That s south of Leith, west of North Franklin.
They found a 37-year-old man wounded. He had been shot in the neck.
Police believe the victim was shot while he was sitting in his vehicle on the 1900 block of East Boulevard, south of Davison and about 1.4 miles south of where police found the victim.

LAWRENCE, Ind. (WISH) The family of a Lawrence homicide victim is offering a reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction of the person or people responsible for his November death.
Jeremy Seldomridge, 39, was fatally shot Nov. 28, 2020 in the area of East 50th Street and North Franklin Road. His family is now offering $5,000 for information in the case.
According to Lawrence Police Department, detectives have pursued available leads in the investigation and are asking anyone with information on Seldomridge’s death to come forward.
Police say witnesses saw Seldomridge interacting with a person or people who were in a small vehicle just before 5:30 a.m. on Nov. 28. Seldomridge was seen standing outside of the car when several shots were heard, witnesses told police.
