Erie County Sheriff s Office no longer looking for Southtowns burglary suspect
Man was wanted for break-ins at two businesses in the North Collins and Gowanda areas on Christmas Eve.

BUFFALO, N.Y. The Erie County Sheriff s office is thanking the public for the massive response after putting out a request looking for help in trying to track down the person responsible for breaking in to a pair of Southtowns businesses.
Deputies say the burglaries took place in the North Collins and Gowanda areas on Christmas Eve.
The Department would not say if an arrest was made, only that more information would be available at a later time.

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) â The Erie County Sheriff s Office and New York State police were looking to identify a suspect in connection with Christmas Eve burglaries Tuesday morning.
Officials say the pair of commercial burglaries occurred in the North Collins and Gowanda areas on Christmas Eve.
In an updated statement Tuesday afternoon, officials said they were no longer seeking information: The Erie County Sheriff s Office and New York State Police are no longer seek information about the suspect s identity involved in the North Collins and Gowanda burglaries. Both agencies want to thank the public and the media for the massive response to the assistance request; you were remarkable! More information will be released at a later date.

John G. Sack, of Silver Creek, N.Y. entered into rest Dec. 11, 2020 at age 87. He was born Nov. 12, 1933 to the late Dominic and Grace (Borrello) Sack.
A life long resident of Silver Creek he married the late Virginia “Virge” (Le-one) Sack, September 4, 1954. Virge passed away Jan. 26, 2020.
John Graduated from Silver Creek Central School in 1952 where he was an honors winning member of both the Varsity Football and Track teams.
He spent some time working for the railroad be-fore he began his own gen-eral contracting business. At age 26 he built his own home in Alfred Heights, Silver Creek as well as several other homes in the same development and sur-rounding area.
