Charles Yslas, Chaves County undersheriff, said the pursuit ended shortly before noon on U.S. 285 just south of Vaughn, following a chase involving the sheriff’s office, Roswell police and New Mexico State Police. A state police helicopter from Santa Fe was also dispatched to assist in the pursuit.

Grand Jury Indicts Couple Charged In North Kentucky Avenue Murder

A Hopkinsville woman and man facing charges in connection to an October murder on North Kentucky Avenue were indicted Friday. The Christian County Grand Jury returned an indictment for 47-year-old Larayna Manning on a charge of murder and first-degree robbery. The jury also indicted her son, 25-year-old Anthony Manning, on complicity charges to murder and first-degree robbery. Hopkinsville Police reported in the early morning hours of October 13, both drove to the residence of Calvin Taylor, physically assaulted him, and stole his cell phone. Larayna then reportedly shot him multiple times, causing his death. Anthony allegedly drove his mother to Taylor’s home and away from the residence after his death.
