A motorist whose car rolled over following a crash on the A63 is in a serious but stable condition in hospital.

Police and Emergency services were called to the A63 Westbound at South Cave following a collision at around 2pm on Tuesday afternoon (May 4). Follow all updates on the incident here.
During the incident, which saw a car roll on to its side, concerned eyewitnesses said smoke had billowed into the air after the vehicle burst into flames.
Providing assistance to the ambulance service, fire crews aided a rescue mission to free one person from the car involved in the crash.
