Dec. 18, 7:49 p.m., on Ohio 18 in Defiance County s Noble Township, a vehicle driven by Melissa Karzynow, 42, Sherwood, struck a deer. Damage was light to the vehicle.
Saturday, 5:44 p.m., on Carpenter Road in Defiance County s Adams Township, a vehicle driven by Lora Ripke, 43, Archbold, struck a deer. Damage was light to the vehicle.
Saturday, 9:30 p.m., on Harrison Street in Sherwood, vehicles driven by Michael Kelley, 41, Sherwood, and Michelle Manley, 30, 13762 Ohio 18, collided. Kelley was cited for failure to yield. Manley was taken by Sherwood EMS to ProMedica Defiance Hospital with suspected minor injuries. Damage was heavy to the vehicles.

The following individuals were booked into the Vigo County Jail by area law enforcement Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, based on jail records. Charges are recommended by arresting officers but are not final until the Vigo County prosecutor reviews the case and files official charges.
Tuesday
⢠Paul J. Blitz, 31, 600 block of South Seventh Street, West Terre Haute. Booked 10:49 a.m. Intimidation and invasion of privacy.
⢠Amber N. Nunley, 31, 1200 block of North Taylor Road, Oaktown. Booked 3:32 p.m. Robbery while armed with deadly weapon or resulting in bodily injury, theft and pointing loaded firearm at another person.

A proposed northside road project prompted spirited discussion Wednesday evening at Otter Creek Middle School as residents worried about the potential for excessive speed and the project encroaching on their property.
Vigo County is in the planning stages of a 2.8-mile road project that would overhaul North Clinton Street between Park Avenue and Budd Road that is slated to begin late 2022.
