Gulak : Northern Youths Commend Police, assures Igbo of safety in North

The Northern Youths Council of Nigeria (NYCN) has commended the police Operatives for the arrest and elimination of the IPOB/ESN terrorists that allegedly masterminded the assassination of Barr Ahmed Ali Gulak, a chieftain of the APC,while assuring their Igbo brothers and sisters living in the Northern part of Nigeria of security and wellbeing.
NYCN made this known in a statement signed by its president Comrade Abubakar Isah noting that the “ proactive approach of the joint security operation has in no small measure calm the already frayed nerves in the Northern region, especially among the youths and renewed people’s confidence in the ability of the Police to stamp out criminal elements in the country if they are supported and willing to do so.

The Nigeria Medical Association (NMA) has appealed to Nigerians over the ongoing strike action by the Nigerian Association of Resident Doctors (NARD).
The resident doctors, on April 1 began an indefinite strike over salary arrears and owed allowances by the federal government.
Enema Amodu, NMA chairman of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) chapter, speaking to newsmen apologized for the strike action, but insisted that it has to continue the strike for the sake of doctors’ welfare in order to enable them meet the needs of patients.
Amodu said: “Doctors are not insensitive; we hope that the government and those in charge of the discussion with NARD will take it seriously, with a view to settling the issues at stake.

The youths noted that it was an attempt to stir division in the country so that he would escape public scrutiny and the consequences of his action.

The Northern Youths Council of Nigeria has called for the removal and prosecution of Danladi Umar, Chairman of the Code of Conduct Tribunal, CCT, for alleged abuse of power.
Umar had been caught on video assaulting a security guard, Clement Sargwak, a 22-year-old employee of Jul Reliable Guard Services Limited at Banex Plaza, Abuja, who had told him that the justice’s vehicle was wrongly parked.
