On Thursday night, a man was found in the 1600 block of Highway 351, parked in his car outside a business. He was found to be intoxicated, according to reports. Police said that after several unsuccessful attempts to get the man a ride, he was arrested for public intoxication and taken to Taylor County Jail. Later, police saw a woman s vehicle allegedly veer into oncoming traffic, causing another driver to have to move to the side of the road to avoid being hit.  The woman was arrested at the intersection of South 16th and Butternut streets for driving while intoxicated.

Abilene police arrest man who broke windows at woman s house Abilene police arrested a man Thursday who allegedly broke windows at his girlfriend s house in an attempt to gain entrance, according to a police report.  The victim in the 1100 block of North 13th Street reported that she verbally told the suspect multiple times to leave. She also told him to leave via text, the report said. Police dispatched just before midnight contacted the suspect outside the residence and took him into custody. The suspect admitted that he was not wanted inside the house and should of just left, the report said.
