February 10, 2021 The first total hip arthroplasty using the HipInsight augmented reality (AR) from Surgical Planning Associates was performed on February 4 at North Atlantic Surgery Suites in New Hampshire.
The procedure was performed by Dr. Stephen B. Murphy, founder of Surgical Planning Associates. The company notes that HipInsight received 510(k) clearance from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration on January 28.
