US producer Northeast Natural pursues responsible gas
US producer Northeast Natural Energy (NNE) said April 29 it will join the growing initiative to have natural gas output certified as responsibly-produced.
It intends to deploy continuous emissions monitoring technology developed by Avitas, part of the Baker Hughes group, to help achieve certification under the MiQ methane standard. At the same time, it will seek certification under Equitable Origin’s EO100™ standard for responsible energy development.
Avitas, using its Lumen Terrain technology, will monitor NNE’s production facilities to enhance the EO100™ and MiQ certification process, including the company’s entire operating field in north central West Virginia.
