More than 1,000 positions will be offered for immediate hire at the Northeast Chapter of the Florida Restaurant and Lodging Association’s regional job fair 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 18.

The job fair sites are:
• Prati Italia, 4972 Big Island Drive, The Markets at Town Center in Jacksonville.
• Four Points by Sheraton, 11 N. First St., Jacksonville Beach.
• Holiday Inn Express & Suites, 2300 Florida 16, St. Augustine.
• Atlantic Recreation Center, 2500 Atlantic Ave., Fernandina Beach.

University of Louisiana Monroe President Ron Berry announces Michelle McEacharn, D.B.A., as the new Dean of the College of Business and Social Sciences, pending University of Louisiana System board approval.
McEacharn is the Susan and William D. Banowsky Endowed Chair and Professor of Accounting in the William D. Hoover School of Accounting, Financial and Information Services in the CBSS.
The university is truly fortunate to have Dr. Michelle McEacharn accept the position of dean of the College of Business and Social Sciences. She is an outstanding teacher

The information of the very dilapidated state of infrastructures at the Community Secondary School, CSS, Aguobia, Nomeh, in Nkanu East Local Government Area of Enugu State, led to an unscheduled visit to the school.
CSS used to be one of the dream learning places most indigenes of the area had wished to attend. But today, it has become a different story.
The state of CSS is perhaps a bigger picture of the condition of public schools across the country.
Many were, however, shocked as they inspected the premises of the school where the entire buildings including classroom blocks were dilapidated which could easily be described as an eyesore
