Students named to Spring Semester 2021 Dean s List at UMN Crookston
Students named to the spring semester 2021 Dean s List were announced recently by the Office of the Registrar. The U of M Crookston is one of the most respected career-oriented, technology-based universities in the nation.
To qualify for a place on the Dean s List, students must complete 12 or more letter-graded (A-F) credits while attaining a 3.66 grade point average. The Crookston campus is the online leader in the University of Minnesota system and the only campus providing every full-time student with a laptop computer.

Some faculty members whose offices are currently in Clippinger Laboratories will be temporarily relocated to Lindley Hall on College Green as part of the Clippinger Renovation Project.
Chemistry, physics, astronomy, and geography faculty will be the primary individuals impacted by the renovations. Chemistry offices have moved to the new Chemistry building. During Phase 2B, a small number of physics and astronomy faculty moved to Lindley Hall in May 2021 through either Fall 2022 or Spring 2024, depending on which area of Clippinger they will move back into post-renovation. Other physics and astronomy faculty, as well as geography faculty, will move into Lindley during Phase 3, planned for Winter Break at the end of 2022.
Tokyo Tech will take special measures concerning tuition exemption （ special exemption ） for undergraduate students, to reduce adverse consequences resulting from implementation of the Japanese government s financial support system for higher education （ new support system ） commencing in April 2020. Students eligible for special exemption are those who entered a bachelor s program in or before AY 2019.

While the government s new support system is expected to enhance undergraduate education, there may be cases where financial support for current students will be reduced due to major changes.
For example: Tuition deduction will be one-third, two-thirds, or 100% （currently 50% or 100% of tuition）. Maximum household income of applicants for tuition exemption will be drastically lowered.
