Kidnapped Chinese expatriates regain freedom
The expatriates were kidnapped at a mining site located Okepa/Itikan village in Ifewara, Atakumosa-West local government area of the state on Monday.

The two Chinese expatriates kidnapped at a gold mining site in Osun State on Monday have regained their freedom.
The spokesperson of the
police in the state, Yemisi Opalola, disclosed this to PREMIUM TIMES in an interview on Thursday.
This newspaper reported how Zhao Juan, 33, and One Wen, 50, were whisked away at a mining site located in Okepa/Itikan village in Ifewara, Atakumosa-West local government area of the state.
Also, two local guards securing the site were shot during a gun duel with the kidnappers.

THE security situation in the country worsened, yesterday, as Osun Police command confirmed the abduction of two Chinese expatriates, Zhao Juan, 33, and one Wen, 50 at a mining site in the state.
Similarly, a family of five in Ondo State was also kidnapped at Ajowa-Akoko area of the state during the Easter holiday as their abductors demanded N10 million as ransom for their release.
Some suspected herdsmen, yesterday, equally attacked three women in Irele-Ekiti, Ikole Local Government Area of Ekiti State.

The gunmen who kidnapped two Chinese expatriates at a gold mining site in Osun State, on Monday, have demanded a ransom of N10 million for their release.
PREMIUM TIMES reported that Zhao Juan (33) and One Wen (50) were whisked away at a mining site located in Okepa/Itikan village in Ifewara, Atakumosa-West local government area of the state.
Two local guards securing the site were also shot during a gun duel with the kidnappers.
Speaking on the development during a radio programme on Wednesday, Yemisi Opalola, the state police spokesperson, said the kidnappers have demanded ₦10 million for the Chinese expatriates’ release.
