A THUG who left a man and a woman badly hurt after brutal lockdown attacks has been jailed for more than five years. Michael Jones, 46, had recently been freed early from prison when he turned on James McCulloch last April 1. The 53-year-old suffered a brain injury after he was repeatedly struck with a table leg at a flat in Drumchapel. He had tried to stop Jones from attacking his 36-year-old friend Nicola Black, who ended up with a fractured nose. Jones was today sentenced at the High Court in Glasgow. He earlier admitted assaulting both victims to their severe injury and permanent disfigurement as well as to the danger of Mr McCulloch s life.
