EASTON Twin sisters Sandy and Suzy Andrade had been asking to go to Disney World in Florida for their 50th birthday. But when those plans became impossible due to the COVID-19 pandemic, their family had to get creative.
Their older sister Lisa Andrade-Mason, of Maui, Hawaii, and younger sister Lori Carpenter, of Berkley, planned the party that brought the magic of Disney to Easton s Oakes Ames Memorial Hall Saturday. We wanted to make their 50th extremely special, Carpenter said before the party. I wanted to bring Disney to them.
The twins arrived at the hall in a horse-drawn carriage. Sandy was dressed in a blue gown to resemble the Disney princess Cinderella and Suzy wore a red one to be like Elena of Avalor, a newer Disney princess.

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) Stimulus checks, collecting unemployment, and other unique circumstances may impact your filing your tax return.
Money received through stimulus checks will not be taxed. However, if you didn t get one or believed the amount received was not enough, you can fill out a recovery rebate credit form.
According to Stadler and Company regional manager Lori Carpenter, this year will provide a new option to report unemployment benefits. They include a form that includes the sum collection added to your return or a new option. For some people, if they received unemployment when they would usually have income, there s an earned income credit. There s a special circumstance where they can use last year s income to claim that credit, she said.
