No more free parking: West Seattle Junction will soon require payment for parking by Callie Craighead, SeattlePI If you ve been putting off running errands at the West Seattle Junction, best go do them soon while parking is still free. The West Seattle Junction Association (WSJA) announced this week that 228 parking spaces at four different lots will become paid starting on Jan. 15. The decision to shift to paid parking comes amid rising property tax bills and changing modes of transportation. We live in a world where the definition of transportation has changed since the 1970s. People have the power to get around West Seattle in different ways, said WSJA Executive Director Lora Radford in a news release.
