Slawson Wins His Third King of the Hammers in the California Desert

KOH There are always debates about which race is the toughest. You have your Baja guys saying they go 1,000 miles non-stop through desperate terrain down in Mexico. You have your Dakar guys saying their race lasts a week and covers 5,000 miles. There’s probably even some guy who says he suffered at the Goodwood Fesitval of Speed because his champagne went flat before the final serving of the epicurean luncheon buffet. They all have good points (and we’ve been to Goodwood, so we know). But you could make a terrific argument that no one suffers more than those who run the King of the Hammers.

C4 is more powerful than TNT but needs a detonator in order to explode. When detonated, one pound of C4 can demolish a vehicle. U.S. Marines with Company A (Alpha Co.), Combat Engineer School apply and cut out the amount of C4 they need for the live fire range aboard Camp Geiger, N.C., Feb. 9, 2017. This exercise was used so students would get a hands on experience making C4 explosives in the field.

The race-ready Bronco builds off of the Sasquatch Package-equipped two-door production version, utilizing the same 2.7-liter EcoBoost twin-turbocharged V6 engine and 10-speed automatic gearbox offered to retail customers.
