Gen. David Allvin arrived at Logan International Airport on Monday and stepped off the aircraft with an extra sense of urgency. His flight wasn’t late, nor was he running behind schedule for his meeting in downtown Boston. Allvin’s deliberate stride was appropriate to the stark reality the Air Force faces – the pacing threat China poses to U.S. national defense.
A report released by the National Security Commission on Artificial Intelligence last week outlined China’s continued pursuit of advanced AI technology and its intent to surpass U.S. efforts. For the U.S. to stave off competition and remain relevant, the report outlined actions to take, including building digital talent pipelines to develop and field tech experts.

âWe took note of how the public responded to the stateâs anniversary in January,â said Russ Akina, the Parks and Recreation director. âAnd the feeling was that, in some of the comments that we received, was that this was great timing for what everybodyâs been going through. It was a good diversion to COVID and the suffering, while still staying safe.â
Akina viewed the Jan. 4 firework display from the Logan Golf Course parking lot and said that while it was hard to gauge crowd size at the local celebration of Utahâs 125th anniversary of statehood, âit was a sea of headlights similar to what weâd have at our Pioneer Day events.â

He’s a master manipulator, a master abuser. His cruelty works to indoctrinate people on a large scale, but it’s most frightening at its most zoomed-in. It’s difficult to watch characters squirm under his grasp, because his behavior seems so obviously sadistic, but that’s what makes it all the scarier. He has effectively brainwashed the people around him into believing his abuse is a form of love.

The ban on new commercial groundwater bores being drilled on Tamborine Mountain and Springbrook has been extended beyond its original March 5 expiry by the Palaszczuk Government.
Minister for Water Glenn Butcher said extending the moratorium on new bores would allow the government to continue working with local councils, the community and scientific experts to investigate groundwater resources for the Scenic Rim and Gold Coast hinterland.
“We take our responsibility as steward of our State’s water resources extremely seriously, and we appreciate that local residents are concerned about the sustainability of groundwater resources at Tamborine Mountain and Springbrook,” Mr Butcher said.
