Nine important infrastructure projects for the City of Logan have been boosted by nearly $13 million in grants from the Queensland Government. The projects include the recently-announced $5.5 million Riverine Discovery Centre at Eagleby to promote the city’s most prominent natural assets, a new youth centre in Logan Central and much-needed improvements to roads in rapidly-growing suburbs. Mayor Darren Power said the South East Queensland Community Stimulus Program funding would be used to offset the cost of delivering the vital projects across the city. “The projects we proposed through the application process will have long-lasting benefits for our city’s prosperity,” Cr Power said.
